Planning a Wedding or a Special Event?

Spruce Creek’s highly skilled culinary and service staff is here to assist you with the coordination of an event you and your guests will fondly remember. Check out our banquets & weddings section for more information.

Kristen & Tim’s wedding at Spruce Creek Country Club in Port Orange, FL was such a beautiful and emotional event! The day started out as rainy and overcast…so rainy, in fact, that the wonderful event staff at Spruce Creek arranged an entire backup ceremony setup indoors just in case we’d have to move inside, but still hoping the rain would clear up in time. And, miraculously, it did clear up!
We started with a super sweet (and tearful) first look between Kristen and Tim before heading out to do a few portraits of the two of them plus their bridal party. The sun even peeked through the clouds a bit! Their ceremony was even more emotional, with tears of joy coming down all around…I’m pretty sure I even teared up a bit!
Spruce Creek is a fly-in community, so seeing planes overhead isn’t normally a big deal….but immediately after the ceremony, Tim’s dad surprised the couple (and all of their guests!) with a spectacular 6-plane flyover! IT WAS AWESOME! And because I was one of the few who knew about it, I knew they were going to take 3 or 4 more passes over the reception site. I grabbed Kristen and Tim and we ran to a nearby location I’d chosen earlier in the day, and with lighting already in place we were ready to get a few amazing shots of the two of them with the planes flying overhead! (It pays to be prepared!)
The rest of the night was pure party-time and celebrating under clear skies, a perfect ending to a perfect day! I’m so happy that these two have found each other, and it’s easy to see how happy they are together. Congratulations, Kristen and Tim!
